Blossom, together with an India-based company, is working to create two Model Villages Karur District, Tamil Nadu, that will become hallmarks for women and children’s empowerment. This objective will be achieved by providing women and children with the tools, skills and knowledge to bring about positive change in their personal lives as well as in their communities.

Our previous success stories

2022-2023

IGNITE

The IGNITE Project works to establish the “Rainbow Chasers Clan” to expand and strengthenBlossom Trust’s existing LGBTQI+ network.

2021-2022

TG ACT Network

Between 2021 and 2022, Blossom Trust established an inclusive capacity-building network of transgender (TG) women communities across Chennai, to address social stigmatisation, economic impact and legislative marginalisation of TG women.

1999-2013

Family Counseling Centre

Family Counseling Centre. Trained Blossom staff offered psychological, legal, economic and medical support to women and children who are in need, particularly those victimized by domestic violence.

2005-2021

International Women's Day

Every year on March 8 we observe International Women's Day. Working mostly with women self-help groups, this is an important day for Blossom to advocate for the rights of women.

2010-2013

Women Advisory Centre

Part of the Family Counseling Centre project, which ran from 1999 to 2013 was the Women Advisory Counsel.
