World AIDS Day

With health being one of the main pillars of our work, we have created multiple successful initiatives on World AIDS Day. 

Goats for Gains

The Goats for Gains project is a sustainable capacity-building mechanism designed to break the chain of poverty in the most vulnerable parts of society often affected by HIV and/or TB.

Universal Health Coverage Day

On December 12, 2019, Blossom, together with Rainbow TB Forum, observed Universal Health Coverage Day. This years theme was for our leaders to ''Keep the Promise''.

Freedom Cups

From November 13 to November 16 2019, Blossom collaborated with Freedom Cups to provide women in rural India with a menstruation cups.

Axshya

 Project Axshya was a civil society initiative to strengthen TB care and control in India. Project Axshya supported India’s tuberculosis programme to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

World Diabetes Day

Diabetes is a major health concern, especially in India. Every year on November 14, the world observes World Diabetes Day.

PPTCT

This programme provided a comprehensive, family-centred range of support, clinical services and public health initiatives with the central goal of preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS from parents to their baby.

Media Outreach

Television is a powerful educational tool and Blossom was able to use this means of communication to conduct live telecast TV programmes to raise awareness about TB.

TNVHA

Blossom is the District Resource Center (DRC) of Tamil Nadu Voluntary Health Association. It coordinates the DFC’s and facilitates the DCC committee of Virudhunagar District.

HIV/AIDS care and support project

Specialist Blossom counselors conducted meetings with people living with HIV/AIDS for emotional and psychological support, as well as act to build support groups within the community.

TB Cured/Patients Association

The creation of local TB associations in December 2009 established a district-level network of TB patients and TB cured persons with the aim of bringing people together to share their experiences about TB.

Red Ribbon Express Train

Blossom took part in the Red Ribbon Express Program organized by TANSACS: a train, called the Red Ribbon Express that went around the entire nation to create awareness on HIV/TB.
