Implemented in 2007, Buds network brought children living with HIV together to build a care and support network.
As a part of the Palmyrah Workers Development Society (PWDS) Alliance Care and Support Project, Buds network aimed to reduce the stigma attached to HIV and offer supplementary education. Over time, Buds became a network of children’s clubs and education centers for all disadvantaged children in the community.
In addition to education, physical education, and life skill development being the center point Buds provided a programme to counsel parents and teachers to ensure that their children’s education a priority.
